Please read instructions completely before proceeding with the installation of the Power MedixTM unit.  Before installing check with your local Electrical Inspection Authority. In some areas a permit may be required. For personal safety we highly recommend that a licensed electrician perform the installation.  Improper installation of Power MedixTM will render the warranty null and void.

These instructions describe the correct method for installing the Power MedixTM Unit.  The customer is solely responsible for the installer or actual installation of the unit.

Standard Installation

  • Remove the Power MedixTM from its wrapping and inspect for any damage during shipping.
  • Remove the breaker panel cover.
  • Install a 20 amp (30 amp for Power MedixTM 200), 2 pole, 240 volt breaker into the existing circuit breaker panel (see breaker panel diagram).  Use the first available unused breaker position closest to the incoming main.  Ground fault indication is not necessary.
  • Mount the Power MedixTM securely to the wall using appropriate fasteners making sure that the Power MedixTM connection wire can reach the 240V double pole breaker.

Note: The Power MedixTM comes with the connecting cable and conduit for installation into the breaker panel.  THE CONNECTING CABLE MUST NOT BE EXTENDED.  EXTENDING THE CONNECTOR CABLE MAY CAUSE THE UNIT TO BE INEFFECTIVE.

  • Install the enclosed ½” cable connector into the breaker panel knockout and pull the cables extending from the Power MedixTM through the ½” connector while taking up any slack.
  • Prepare cable and wire ends.
  • Connect to the double pole breaker (see breaker panel diagram).
  • Replace circuit breaker panel cover.
  • Turn on double pole breaker.  Both lights on the Power MedixTM should turn on.  If not, check the wiring and correct any discrepancies.
